MTV VMA Awards 2008 - Why did Lindsay Lohan snub Samantha Ronson?

Last night at the VMA Awards Britney Spears might well have had the best night of her life but spare a thought for Lindsay Lohan's missus.
Poor Samantha Ronson had to wait inside for Lindsay Lohan as the Labor Pains actress posed for photographs on the red carpet alongside Rihanna and Katy Perry.
Lindsay seemed to want more attention as the evening wore on and even changed her outfit.

She started the night in a tight black mini dress and then changed into a strange strapless white top and black trousers.
The white top left very little to the imagination as it exposed most of her breasts from the side.
Samantha Ronson didn't seem to be as fame hungry and wore a simple black t-shirt, silver jacket and grey leggings.
