Lindsay Lohan remembers why she and Sam phoned in

Just after Lindsay Lohan had confirmed her lesbian relationship with Samantha Ronson to US radio show Lovelines, she felt the need to be a bit more respectful of the reason they'd phoned up in the first place.

DJ Ronson had reportedly phoned the radio show to speak to its presenter DJ Stryker about the plane crash in which her close friend Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein had been badly burned.

Ex Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker was also injured and 4 others killed in last Friday's crash in South Carolina.

31-year-old Ronson - whose brother is Brit Award winner Mark Ronson - said DJ AM had e-mailed her from hospital on Sunday and was feeling better.

But her girlfriend Lindsay Lohan quickly took control of the phone to pay tribute to those who'd lost their lives and thank God for saving Goldstein and Barker.

"It's very saddening, but thank God that the guys are alive. They have amazing guardian angels," the 22-year-old said.

Lohan added that the incident had made her think twice about flying on small private planes.

Tragedy struck late on Friday when the Learjet in which the sextet was travelling hurtled off the end of a runway and came to rest a quarter-mile away, engulfed in flames.

Barker and Goldstein are still receiving treatment for burns.
