Lily Allen gets pampered in LA

Lily Allen is having so much fun in LA it is thought she might consider moving to the US permanently.

The singer is supposed to be in LA on business but sO far seems to be doing little recording. She was sent to LA by her record company who wanted her to put the finishing touches to her second album.

They are hoping that her second album will prove to be even more popular than her first. In 2006 Lily became an overnight success on social networking site Myspace. Her debut album 'Alright, Still' was nominated for a Grammy and was voted third best album of the year by Mixmag. So far over 19 million tracks have been downloaded from her Myspace page.

Since arriving in LA on Sunday Lily has been for a meal with Hollywood hellraiser Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend Samantha Ronson, and has been in trouble for holding a party at her hotel.

Staff at the exclusive Chateau Marmont hotel had to tell the British singer to end the party at her rented bungalow after other guests complained about the noise.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Lily invited a group of eight people she met at a restaurant back to her bungalow at 1am. They were playing music until around 4am, until the hotel called and asked Lily to turn it down."

Yesterday the 23-year-old visited a nail salon on Melrose Avenue. After getting her nails done, Lily asks the photographers for a cigarette and was happily surprised when one of the photographers offered to buy her an ice cream.

Later, she tried to lose the photographers by leaving the salon by a rear door. Her plan was foiled as the photographers managed to beat her in the race to her car. They are well accustomed to celebrities trying to escape as they catch Britney Spears leaving boutiques by the back door all the time.

Lily didn't seem to mind the attention too much as she smiled as the photographers snapped away. She recently wrote in her official blog: I have never been followed like we were today, there were literally 20 cars of paparazzi with us.

"Not that I'm complaining, they were perfectly pleasant. In fact, we had a bit of a laugh with them and I quite fancied one of them!"
