Reports suggest Brian McFadden wants to fight ex-wife Kerry Katona for custody of their two children following her shambolic This Morning appearance.
The Sun alleges that former Westlife star McFadden was horrified at 28 year-old Kerry's disastrous interview with Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton last week.
Kerry slurred her words and appeared very confused throughout the ten-minute chat with the late-morning show hosts, which was originally intended to promote Kerry's new MTV series.
But it all went a bit wrong for her as Kerry was quizzed on her dodgy speech and was even asked if she was an alcoholic.
This erratic behaviour, it seems, has enraged McFadden, with the Sun reporting that he has told friends he will return from Australia - where he is living with fiancee Delta Goodrem - to rescue their two children Molly, seven, and Lilly-Sue, six.
A source said: "Brian looked at it in complete disbelief."
The newspaper adds that McFadden has even lined up his former manager, current X Factor judge Louis Walsh as a character reference.
Whatever happens, he is bound to face bitter opposition from Kerry, who has the girls living with her and husband Mark Croft and their two other children.
A bad week for Katona got even worse yesterday as it was revealed she faces losing her Iceland contract in the New Year after fronting the frozen food firm's Christmas campaign.
Shoppers were allegedly so shocked at her TV interview that they flooded Iceland with complaints.
