Billy Zane has splashed out £10,000 on a holiday for Kelly Brook in a bid to save their fragile relationship.

The 'Titanic' actor - who rekindled his romance with the British model earlier this month after a brief split - has booked a private villa in Ibiza, Spain, in August so he can show Kelly how much she means to him.

A source said: "He feels very aware that he was the main player in the break-up and is trying to make amends to prove he truly loves her."

Kelly, 28, is believed to have told a pal: "We need quality time - just the two of us - to make sure we are meant to be together."

Her friend added: "Things are not 100 per cent right between them yet and they've still got a lot to sort out. The holiday will hopefully do that."

The couple broke off their engagement in April but last month, Billy, 42, flew in from South Africa to meet with Kelly in London. After wooing her with chocolates and roses, the couple spent the night together at a luxury hotel.

Speaking about the pair's relationship, Kelly previously said: "It's never me that is the first one to make up. We're both romantics so there's lots of magic. I've met someone I want to do everything with. He's my best friend really. I've never had that before."

The couple were originally set to marry last year but had to postpone the nuptials following the death of Kelly's father.
