Peter Andre Closes Door on Katie

Peter Andre has confirmed his new single is about estranged wife Katie Price.

The 'Behind Closed Doors' singer - who split from Katie in May after three-and-a-half years of marriage - explained the track is about people who constantly hide behind a facade an are completely different once they drop their act.

He said in an exclusive interview to VidZone for Playstation3: "The title kind of says it all - behind closed doors things aren't always what they seem. It's saying that a lot of people live a facade, even if it's just a little bit? like, when you go to work and put a smile on your face, you might love your job but when you come home and just strip down - I don't mean strip your clothes off! - when you're just on your own, it's different. It's basically a generalisation, although in my case it was probably deeper than that but I don't have to go into that."

The 36-year-old star - who raises three children with Katie, who he is currently only communicating with through lawyers - also spoke about the effect the split is having on his physique.

Peter is believed to have lost around 37lbs following the break-up, and although he is thrilled with his slim-line figure he has advised others not to follow in his footsteps.

He said: "I wasn't this fit for the last four, five years, but in the last three months I've just lost it! Whatever layer was there is gone. I love it!

"It's called stress. Don't do it. Don't do it. I don't recommend it to anyone! Just don't get married and don't get divorced."
