Katie Price's miscarriage trauma

Katie Price has revealed she suffered a miscarriage just weeks before her split from Peter Andre.

The former glamour model - who has two children, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii, with her estranged husband as well as seven-year-old Harvey from a previous relationship - was devastated when she was told by a doctor the baby's heat had stopped beating during a routine scan.

She said: "We had the scan and... the doctor was poking the thing around on my belly and it was moving, and he said that he can't see a heartbeat but he said: 'Let me check, so let me do some bloods.'

"So he done some bloods and three days later he called me up and said, 'I think the HGC level is still high which means that it could still be alive.' "

Katie - who suffered a miscarriage in 2006 - returned to the doctors a few days later but a second scan revealed she had lost the baby.

She told interviewer Piers Morgan: "I went in thinking, 'He's going to be great, he's going to see a heartbeat.' And it was on the screen and you know they poke the thing around, he said, "No it's, it's died, it's gone."

Katie decided to have a termination there and then as she was running the London Marathon just a couple of weeks later.

Katie - also know as Jordan - also insists she and Pete were happy together until their shock split in May.

She said: "I was, absolutely obsessed with him. Not obsessed in a bad way but just, he was just my life, he was my absolutely everything and I loved him 'til the day that obviously he split up with me, then over that.

"It didn't even turn to hate with, it hasn't even turned to hate. It was like, OK, well I have to move on but I was definitely so in love with Pete. I really believed I would be with him forever...I was happy and I was in love and I thought I still would have been with him forever.

"I never, ever in a million years thought I'd divorce."
