Jamelia's new hair care range

Singer Jamelia has introduced a new line of haircare products which are suited to black hair.

The R&B star is collaborating with hairdressers Toni & Guy to launch hair serums for the ModelMe range which are specially formulated to keep Afro hair looking its best.

"As a singer and model, my hair's got to look fabulous at all times. As a woman and mother, I also want it to be luxurious … [so] I've created a premium collection of ModelMe products that look, feel and work brilliantly," she said, according to Digital Spy.

Other famous figures who have created products for the ModelMe line include supermodels Helena Christensen and Erin O'Connor.

Jamelia recently spoke about her hopes for reuniting with her ex-boyfriend, footballer Darren Byfield from Bristol City.

The 26-year-old Superstar singer said that the break-up of their three-year relationship was not due to infidelity, explaining: "Cheating is inexcusable. But that is not the situation I was in."

Instead, she claims the pair split due to her ex-lover's tendency to be "competitive about everything".

Midlands-born Jamelia has a one-year-old daughter named Tiani with Darren, as well as another child, six-year-old Teja.

Recently, she co-presented the MOBO Awards 2007 with Shaggy for the BBC.
