27 Dresses - Heidi Klum´s dress donation
Monday, 18 February 2008
Heidi Klum and Thandie Newton have donated dresses for a charity auction.
'Project Runway' host Heidi and 'Crash' actress Thandie are among a host of celebrities who have contributed garments to the '27 Dresses' charity auction - which has been launched in conjunction with the release of Katherine Heigl's new romantic comedy '27 Dresses'.
The proceeds of the auction will go to the Lavender Trust, a charity which offers information and advice for young women suffering from breast cancer.
Kylie Minogue has donated a white John Galliano dress she wore to the Cannes Film Festival last year, while sister Dannii has given her silver full length halterneck gown which she wore to the premiere of Kylie's film documentary 'White Diamond'.
Other big names to lend their support to the cause include 'Secretary' star Maggie Gyllenhaal, 'Strictly Come Dancing' star Alesha Dixon and the Sugababes.
All the dresses will be modelled in a fashion show at London nightclub Sketch on March 4 - when the auction is launched.
In '27 Dresses', Heigl plays a woman who has been a bridesmaid 27 times, but has not found time to concentrate on her own love life.
