Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will see his life story made into a movie after a film company bought up the rights to his autobiography Humble Pie.
Fiery and foul-mouthed, Gordon has riled many other chefs and celebrities with his tough manner, but he remains admired for his cooking.
With such a challenging role to portray, Gordon already has some ideas who he would like to see as the lead actor.
"I would be a tough part," he said. "Russell Crowe is a favourite actor of mine - we get on well."
However, apart from an early look at the script, Gordon will take a back seat in the process of filming and casting, even if this means Russell doesn't get the part.
In fact, Gordon admitted: "In many ways I don't want it to be anyone well-known as I'd like an actor to be discovered on the back of this."
Interest in a film of Gordon's life may have been boosted this week by the controversy he stirred up by recommending that Britons eat horsemeat on his The F Word show on Channel 4.
According to Gordon, horses taste like beef but have half the amount of fat with ten times the Omega 3 content which is believed to reduce cholesterol.
His views, however, were attacked by the International League for the Protection of Horses who said that the horsemeat trade relies on the live transportation of animals in cramped conditions.
