Mathew Horne collapsed on stage in London on Wednesday (01.04.09).
The 'Gavin and Stacey' star was rushed to hospital after he slumped over in his seat and rolled face-first onto the floor during a scene in the West End theatre production of 'Entertaining Mr. Sloane'.
Mathew lay motionless for 10 minutes as the horrified audience was ushered out of Trafalgar Studios.
Paramedics soon arrived and took the star away in an ambulance.
The 30-year-old comedian was diagnosed with "mild exhaustion" and released, but was still not well enough to appear in last night's show (02.04.09).
A source said: "He's simply exhausted. He has been working very, very hard and hasn't had a day off in weeks. It's been a relentless past six months for him."
Mathew's agent said: "He was taken to hospital with a mild case of exhaustion.
"He had tests but is now out of hospital. He didn't go on last night and he is going to see how he feels before deciding when to go back on stage."
Mathew collapsed during a scene with Simon Paisley Day.
The audience believed the scene was scripted until Simon called out: "I think something has gone wrong. Is there a doctor in the house?"
Mathew's co-star Imelda Staunton also pulled out of the production yesterday after complaining of feeling unwell.
