Christian Bale's Terminator temper

Christian Bale has reportedly been caught on camera losing his temper of the set of the new 'Terminator' film.

In video footage of the incident, a man alleged to be Bale - who plays John Connor in 'Terminator Salvation' - unleashes a foul-mouthed verbal attack at director of photography Shane Hurlbut after he ruined a scene with Christian's co-star Bryce Dallas Howard by walking on to the set.

Bale screams at Hurlbut: "Seriously, man we're f***ing done professionally. I want you off the f***ing set, you pr**k."

As Hurlbut attempts to apologise for disrupting the scene, an increasingly irate Bale reportedly replies: "No, don't just be sorry. Think for one f***ing second. What the f**k are you doing? Are you a professional or not?

"Am I going to f***ing rip your lights down in the middle of the scene? Then why the f**k are you walking right through in the background? It's f***ing distracting having somebody walking up behind Bryce in the middle of the f***ing scene."

As Hurlbut tries to explain what happened and apologise again, Bale becomes even angrier, shouting: "I'm going to f***ing kick your f***ing ass."

In the recording - believed to have been taken last summer - the 35-year-old actor ignores pleas from other crew members to calm down and goes on to threaten to pull out of the movie unless Hurlbut is fired.

It has been claimed movie bosses sent the footage to their insurance company in case Bale didn't finish making the film.

Bruce Franklin, an associate producer on the fourth 'Terminator' film, has insisted Bale was a "consummate professional" on the movie set.
He added to E! Online: "If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove... It was the most emotional scene in the movie. And for him to get stopped in the middle of it - he is very intensely involved in his character. It was just a moment and it passed."
