Cheryl Cole has gone on a "baby-making" holiday with her husband Ashley.
The Girls Aloud singer and the soccer star snubbed a trip to Las Vegas with some of Ashley's England teammates in favour of a romantic break in the South of France.
The couple - whose marriage has overcome allegations of Ashley being unfaithful - looked relaxed and happy as they boarded a plane at Heathrow Airport yesterday (11.06.09), bound for Nice where they will stay on Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich's luxury yacht.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "The romance is back on track and they just want a holiday to celebrate their successes over the past year. They are both on a high as they haven't been away since a trip to Marbella last year.
"They just can't wait to have some time alone together and if Cheryl became pregnant while they were away that would be the icing on the cake for them."
Cheryl and Ashley - who wed in a lavish ceremony in 2006 - have endured tough times in their marriage.
Last year, they came close to splitting over claims Ashley had sex with a hairdresser who he met during a drunken night out.
He was also arrested for arguing with police after leaving a London nightclub. At the time Cheryl was climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for charity Comic Relief in March.
