Calling all Robert Pattinson and Cheryl Cole fans

Thursday, 26 November 2009

It doesn't matter if you are a Robert Pattinson fan or Cheryl Cole fan please co-sign the Love Fashion Hate Sweatshops letter.

Do something good today - and make a difference.

Jo Wood, Little Boots and Ugly Betty star Ashley Jensen are already supporting The Love Fashion Hate Sweatshops campaign and need your help.

Primark's leaders, including CEO Paul Marchant, will be gathering on 4 December for the AGM of its parent company, Associated British Foods. It's a perfect opportunity for people to tell Primark's leadership that its exploitation of sweatshop labourers has to stop.

So far, nearly 1,500 people have signed the letter to Primark's CEO, demanding immediate action - but they need more signatures to really get his attention ahead of their parent company's Annual General Meeting on 4 December.

Could you help by signing now? It only takes a moment, and every signature makes a difference:

When we asked Love Fashion Hate Sweatshops why so many people have signed the letter they replied:

"Because they believe workers should be treated with dignity. Because they think that workers facing appalling conditions while earning 7p an hour deserve better.

"This exploitation has to stop. For too long Primark has made promises about workers' rights - promises it has failed to keep. Together, we can hold the company accountable and take a stand alongside the millions of workers making our clothes."
