How will Britney Spears cope after Pussycat betrayal?

Things aren't looking good for Britney Spears...not only has she signed over sole custody of her kids to Kevin Federline but some of her potential hits have been given away.

The troubled 26-year-old - who currently has monitored visitation sessions with her sons two days a week and one overnight stay - has signed off on a settlement agreeing the custody arrangement.

Now it has emerged that her next album might be a few songs short after the Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger pinched some of her songs.

The Gimme More singer had allegedly asked R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo to write her some songs but when she failed to show up to various meetings he decided that someone else could have them.

Ne-Yo told The Guardian: "I was writing for Britney Spears, we set up multiple sessions where she was supposed to actually come in and give her input on the songs, but she never showed up. OK, she's goin' through some things - whatever, fine.

"This was before the whole shaving of the head thing, but after that happened, her people stopped returnin' phone calls. I had done six to eight songs specifically for Britney. But this is a business at the end of the day - and while I'm waitin' for them to call back, I meet Nicole Scherzinger (of the Pussycat Dolls).

"She tells me she's puttin' together a solo project, so I gave Nicole, I think, two of those songs. And when news of that came out, then Britney's people call me! 'Hey! What's goin' on? Why're you givin' away Britney's music?'

"I'm like, 'Wait, waitwaitwaitwaitwait! Until y'all cut me a cheque, I'm givin' away my music. It may've been written with Britney in mind, but it's not hers.'"

Ne-Yo doesn't care that Britney was upset that he gave the tracks to Nicole: "My door swings both ways. Whitney and Michael - those are artists you wait on. But Britney? Nah, not yet. You got a little workin' to do before you get to where I sit on a song for you. Sorry."
