Kerry slams ex for "cruel" comments

Former Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona has hit back at her ex-husband Brian McFadden after he described their marriage as a "sham".

In a recent interview the former Westlife singer claimed that they had got hitched just for the money from magazines, that he had been unprepared for marriage or parenthood and added that "having a child was like getting a dog".

But Kerry, the mother of Brian's two daughters Molly and Lily-Sue, said: "I can't believe Brian could be so callous and cruel.

"Our children were born out of love. For him to compare having children to getting a new dog is just cruel and downright evil."

Although she focused on her ex's comments on fatherhood, the recently-remarried blonde added: "I'm gutted he has dismissed it [the marriage] as a sham."

Brian's comments on their marriage came after a rough time for Kerry who married Mark Croft on Valentine's Day, but unexpectedly went into labour days later and her baby girl was born six weeks early weighing just five pounds.
