Boy George accused of chaining up escort

Wednesday, 2 May 2007

Boy George has been arrested on suspicion of assault and false imprisonment after a male escort claimed he had been kidnapped by the 80s star.

Auden Carlsen accused the former Culture Club singer of chaining him to the wall of a flat in Shoreditch, east London.

George had found the male escort on the Gaydar dating website but Mr Carlsen said that he had come to the flat only to pose for photos and not as an escort.

"George said he was popping out for milk at five am," Mr Carlsen said.

"I heard him come back and I walked into his bedroom wearing just my T-shirt. I was jumped on by George and another man."

Mr Carlsen accused the singer of chaining him to a hook by the bed, producing a box of sex toys and whips and telling him: "Now you'll get what you deserve."

But Mr Carlsen claims that he was able to escape by pulling the hook out of the wall.

"It's ironic that his biggest hit was Do You Really Want To Hurt Me - because I'm sure he did want to hurt me. I was convinced I was going to die," he said.

Boy George has been released on bail while police investigations into the allegations continue.
