Billie Piper's wedding children ban

Billie Piper has infuriated her fiancé's family by banning children from attending their forthcoming wedding.

The former 'Doctor Who' actress is set to tie the knot with Laurence Fox on New Year's Eve (31.12.07) but she and her parents don't want youngsters at the event at Cowdry Park Estate, in West Sussex, England.

Laurence's uncle, producer Robert Fox, is said to be particularly annoyed after he was told his youngest children would not be welcome.

A friend is quoted as saying: "Robert is very upset and has made his opinions known. The Fox family thinks weddings should include children.

"The bride's family obviously do not want screaming kids in the church. The whole thing has gone down like a lead balloon."

It was recently revealed Billie and Laurence were planning to celebrate their nuptials in Billie's ex-husband's pub.

The couple are keen to follow their church ceremony with a reception at The Lickfold Inn pub - which is owned by Billie's former spouse, British TV and radio star Chris Evans.

A source said: "Some people might see this as a publicity stunt, but Billie genuinely wants to celebrate her special day with Chris present.

"She knows Chris will make sure her and Laurence are waited on hand and foot and have the best possible wedding reception they can have - that's why she chose to have it there."
