The Kooks are at war with the Arctic Monkeys.
Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard kicked Alex Turner in the head after he caught the singer trying to disconnect his guitar during a show a year ago.
Luke said: "We've had a weird relationship with the Arctics since we first met. I had to kick Alex in the face because he was trying to pull the leads out of my guitar pedals while we were on stage.
"We had done so many shows back to back with them, and it just escalated. We've got this beef. But he shouldn't have touched my guitar."
Despite the animosity, Luke insists he has tried to patch things up with his rivals.
He added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "I saw them recently in a studio and asked Alex if he wanted to have a bit of a jam in the studio, but he just turned his back and walked away.
"I suppose they are quite arrogant - but who can blame them. They've got a lot going for them. It's a shame because he is a genius musician, and a really talented song writer."
