Arctic Monkeys star Alex Turner "doesn't enjoy" being a celebrity.
The 'I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor' singer - who is dating 'Vanity Lair' presenter Alexa Chung - dislikes being known as a star, and wishes people would concentrate on his musical skills rather than his personal life.
He said: "I still really don't like the idea of being a celebrity, to be honest. It makes you feel weird, and I certainly don't enjoy that. Sometimes I enjoy the night out, but most of the time I try and keep my head down a bit."
Alex also revealed he was extremely nervous about performing his new material with his The Last Shadow Puppets collaborator Miles Kane in front of his Arctic Monkeys bandmates.
He added to NME magazine: "I thought it was going to be like them finding a tape where you'd had an affair. Like your bird had found an affair tape and was watching you having sex with another bird. But it wasn't like that in the end."
