One of the biggest celebrity hair styles of 2009 was Victoria Beckam's pixie crop. Despite having sported extensions for years, this year Posh turned up to a fashion event sporting a closely trimmed crop that made many women all across the world rethink their previous prejudice again shorter hairstyles.
This style made Victoria look both elegant a la Audrey Hepburn, though also feisty and fearless in her turn away from the long locks sported by most celebrities. As well as being a year of celebrity ladies sporting a short back and sides, 2009 has also been the year of the bob. The biggest representative of the bob brigade is, however, Katie Holmes, who chopped off her beloved Joey-from-Dawson's-Creek tresses in favour of a more wife-and-mum style. Those celebrities not keen on lopping off their long locks have instead been making a statement by finally throwing out their hair straighteners. Radio One's Fearne Cotton and the X Factor's Stacey Solomon have both been wearing their hair wavy and the beautiful Taylor Swift has also been keeping it natural and simple with her naturally curly locks.
Sweeping long hair to one side has also been a big look this year and Leona Lewis has frequently been seen with her long tresses pulled to one side, a look that is both easy a glamorous.
