Billie Piper has banned her husband from watching her in 'Doctor Who'.
The 25-year-old actress says she is scared Laurence Fox, 30, will laugh at her when he sees her performance in the sci-fi show.
She told Britain's Doctor Who magazine: "He has never seen an episode of 'Doctor Who' with me in it because I won't let him.
"I get really edgy watching myself, and I get even more edgy with my loved ones because they know me and I feel they're going to take the mickey.
"Sitting down to watch my performances makes me cry. It's even worse watching it with another actor, because he can dissect your performance."
Billie married Laurence - who she met while starring alongside him in West End play 'Treats' - last December. She is reportedly expecting the couple's first child.
The actress played Doctor Who's assistant Rose Tyler from 2005 to 2006 but has recently reprised her role for three episodes of the new series.
Details of how and why her character returns have not been revealed.
Billie has also recently signed up to star in another series of racy drama 'The Secret Diary of a Call Girl'.
